While undergoing his bachelors of Fine Arts, at York University, Toronto ON, Nicholas studied performance and education in the trumpet, piano, guitar and other diverse instruments. Nicholas knows that music is a resource to draw upon when life is challenging and offers a creative expression that fosters individual and communal change.
Concurrently, he also studied Reiki, with Melanie Ollenberg at Kore Changes, Inner Arts Collective, Toronto ON, and completed his Master/Teacher Level in January 2017. Reiki taught Nicholas the values of energy work, as well as emphasized self discovery, and promoted deep self compassion and healing for himself and others.
Continued study in Reiki, Music Therapy and Counselling, characterize how Nicholas approaches the healing journey with clients. Nicholas knows that each person has strengths that can be nurtured into a resource. I am a licensed counsellor dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey toward emotional well-being and personal growth. I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from St. Thomas University. I am a Licensed Counselling Therapist (LCT) with the College of Counselling Therapists of New Brunswick (CCTNB) and a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). My passion for the mental health field began during my time as a behavioural interventionist with Autism Intervention in Saint John, NB, where I supported individuals on the autism spectrum and their families. I bring a warm, empathetic, and trauma-informed approach to my work, drawing from both my education and hands-on experience to help clients navigate challenges, build resilience, and create meaningful change. Outside of my professional practice, I value time with family and friends and remain committed to ongoing learning and personal growth as a therapist. I tend to draw from approaches such as Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), trauma-informed care, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), but I always strive to meet clients where they are. I work with clients who struggle with: • Depression • Anxiety • ADHD • Workplace stress • Autism spectrum disorder • Relationship issues

Depression and anxiety, rocky relationships, trouble communicating? These are the challenges I’ve been trained to work with.
You don’t have to keep holding it all together on your own. I work with people who are used to being strong for others but don’t know how much longer they can keep it up.
I approach therapy as a place to develop the skills to function in a world that sometimes hurts and rarely makes sense. Finding the right tools for you can take some time, but most folks find some positive change in the first couple sessions.

Many of the people who come to me are carrying trauma, anxiety, or spiritual hurt and feel overwhelmed, alone, empty or distant from people; far from God. They want a space where they can be honest about their pain without fear of judgment. Their hope is to break old patterns, rebuild relationships, reconnect with their Creator and rediscover clarity, meaning, and the steady presence of someone who will walk with them like Jesus does. I offer warm, creative, person-centered, and trauma-informed therapy grounded in compassion and faith. I work with individuals, couples, and families of all kinds as they explore their wounds, calm overwhelming emotions, heal spiritual hurts, and strengthen their closest relationships. I prayerfully integrate psychodynamic therapy, (IFS), narrative work, and the CAMS model for suicidality to help clients move toward wholeness and hope. You don’t have to carry this alone. Healing grows in safety, honesty, and even moments of lightness—therapy doesn’t have to be serious all the time. I’m creative and not afraid to laugh with you along the way. I love to explore what hurts, what works, and what’s possible. I’d be honoured to hear your story and help you write the next chapter.

However, through my strengths-based and trauma-informed approach, my goal is to guide you on a path towards self discovery as I gain insight about your strengths and help you tap into them. Clients are encouraged to take an active part in their healing by offering feedback, creating a collaborative relationship.
